The Best Gift Wrapping Tools and Materials
The Best Gift Wrapping Tools and Materials
The secret to beautifully wrapped gifts is the right tools and materials. Gift wrapping expert—and Ballard & Prescott founder—Anna Ballard, shares her favorites for elegant gifting.
Wrapping Paper: Look for paper that is thick so it won’t tear. Ballard & Prescott has a wonderful assortment of charming, luxury wrapping paper. BONUS: All our papers are double-sided so you get two designs in one.
We used our Ballerina Wrapping Paper in this video.
Sharp Scissors: Our favorite pair, and the one featured in the video are Studio Carta’s Paper Scissors. These also make a wonderful gift.
If you are looking for a less expensive option, we recommend these.
Ribbon: Double-sided or double face satin ribbon makes a great impression and won’t get squished if you are shipping your gifts. You can find it at most art supply stores, like Michael’s or Joann Fabrics.
Tape: Double-sided tape will make your gifts look clean and elevated. If you wrap a lot of gifts, we recommend this set. If you only wrap sporadically, this is a great choice.
